What is Hearsay?
A two-way voice translator for face-to-face conversations. You put the phone on the table, the screen splits in two, and each person speaks and reads their own language. Every translation is read aloud.
How does table mode work?
Their half of the screen is upside down to you, so it faces them. You tap and speak; they read it in large text in their language and hear it read aloud. They answer in their language, and you read it on your half.
How many languages does Hearsay speak?
25, in both directions, with automatic language detection.
Does it need an internet connection?
Yes. Your speech is recognized on your phone and only the text is sent for translation, which needs a connection.
What's free and what does Pro add?
The free version includes 5 minutes of conversation a day, the quick phrase cards and your history. Hearsay Pro removes the daily cap (fair use: 120 minutes a day).
What are the phrase cards?
Ready-made phrases for four situations: doctor, restaurant, transport and office visits. One tap says the phrase out loud in the other person's language.
Is Hearsay a certified interpreter?
No. Hearsay helps two people talk across languages. For medical, legal or official decisions, ask for a qualified interpreter.
Talk across languages, both ways. Answer six quick questions and get a table plan for your language and the moments you need it for.
