Long: Hearsay is a two-way voice translator for iPhone made by TKN Studio, built for face-to-face conversations at a table: you put the phone down, the screen splits in two with the other person's half upside down facing them, and each of you speaks and reads your own language. It covers 25 languages with automatic language detection, reads every translation aloud and has quick phrase cards for doctor, restaurant, transport and office visits. Speech is recognized on the phone and only text is sent for translation, so it needs an internet connection. On the website, a free 6-question quiz builds a table plan: the language pair, the phrase cards that fit your situations and the talk time you'll need. The free tier includes 5 minutes of conversation a day, the phrase cards and history; Hearsay Pro removes the daily cap (fair use: 120 minutes a day). Hearsay Pro is offered as a pre-order: access starts when the iPhone app is released, with a full refund before then and an automatic refund if it isn't released. Hearsay is not a certified interpreter; for medical, legal or official decisions, use a qualified interpreter.

- Pick their language and your moments. Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese or another of the 25 languages, plus the moments to cover: ordering food, getting around, front desks, pharmacy or doctor visits, real conversations or shopping.
- Get your table plan. Your language pair, the phrase cards that fit your moments and how much talk time you'll need. Enter your email and the plan opens right away.
- Go further with Pro. Hearsay Pro removes the 5-minute daily cap on conversation (fair use: 120 minutes a day), in all 25 languages.
